Terms and Conditions
Prices incl.GST (subject to change anytime) and are based on a 2 day hire (or Thursday-Monday). Each additional week hire (or part thereof) $10-$30/week/costume. Subject to availability and demand.) Bond required. Bonds range from $50 - $300 cash/costume (depending upon the costume) or credit card imprint. (Please note that a few special costumes attract a higher extra time hire rate and higher cash bond.)
Booking Deposit: A booking deposit of $10.00 per costume is required on all bookings made in-store, online or by telephone. The booking deposit is subtracted from the hire price when the costume is collected. The booking deposit is non-refundable. Should the booking be cancelled at any time or the costume not collected, the booking deposit is forfeited. The booking deposit is non-transferable to other customers or for retail purchases should the booking be cancelled or not collected. Should Disguises cancel the booking for any reason, the booking fee will be refunded in full. These conditions take effect immediately the booking is made.
General Hire Conditions
- Customer will be responsible for the cost of any special cleaning required as a result of any stain or damaging mark caused to the costume.
- If customer does not return the costume on the required date then customer will be responsible to pay a late charge of $10.00 per day per costume until such time as the costume is returned.
- If the costume is returned damaged or incomplete, customer agrees to pay the cost of repair or replacement of the costume as is necessary. This payment after deduction of any amount held as security must be made within seven days of receiving the invoice for the repair or replacement. It is agreed that the invoice has been received if it is sent by ordinary post to the address on the hire form. If the payment is not made within seven days, then the customer agrees to pay interest at the rate of 12% per annum until the payment is received.
- Customer agrees that any special cleaning costs, any late charge and/or the replacement cost of the costume can be charge to customer's credit card or deducted from the security deposit.
- Customer acknowledges that if the costume is not returned then the customer can be reported to the Police and prosecuted for theft of the costume.
- The customer indemnifies the owner in respect of any injury or legal expense arising out of any accident which may be caused by use of the costumes whilst in the customer's custody.
Changing your mind: All hires are final once costumes have been collected. Should customers wish to swap their costumes for any reason after collection, a re-stocking fee will be applied, proportional to the original hire price.
Identification: Current photo identification (eg: Qld drivers licence) with current address is required when collecting costumes
Easy As Returns & Replacements:
30 Days, No Worries
If you receive a faulty or incorrect item or item that is not as described on our website, we will happily exchange or refund the item within a 30 day time period. Please contact us at email@example.com as soon as you receive your delivery. We only replace goods that are faulty on arrival. We will replace your item in time for your party or we will refund your purchase. We will also organise the return of the faulty or incorrect item. Please ensure you return the item unused with all the original packaging intact and in the condition in which you received it without any missing parts of the product or packaging.
(Just to let you know, sometimes styles can change without notice due to a change in the manufacturer's production. These changes are usually slight, for example: a change in the placement of crystals on a handmade Venetian mask. These type of production changes are beyond our control and manufacturers do not notify us when they occur.)
It Doesn't Fit. I've Changed My Mind.
Costumes don't look like regular clothes and they don't always fit like regular clothes. If the size you ordered is incorrect or you've changed your mind we will exchange your costume for a different size or item. Please follow these easy steps:
- Request your exchange within 48 hours of receiving your delivery
- Return your item unused in the original condition with all of the original packaging intact. If there is any part of the item or packaging missing, damaged or showing signs of having been worn we will not exchange your item.
- We will ship your replacement item when your return item has been received and processed.
- Shipping costs are non refundable and you will be responsible for the shipping costs of the return and replacement items.

It's All About Hygiene
There are some items that for hygiene reasons we simply will not exchange or refund. We think you will be reassured to know we do not accept returns on the following items unless they are faulty: teeth and fangs, eyelashes, wigs, moustaches, beards and any fake hair items, hosiery, underwear, contact lenses, masks.
Special Orders Just For You
We are happy to order special items and bulk orders for you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss what you need. We do not accept returns or exchanges on special or bulk orders we have specifically ordered in from our suppliers just for you.
Orders out of Stock: All stock shown on this website is subject to availability. If you purchase an item that is out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you other options: a) Order alternative products b) Dispatch product when available c) Receive refund on purchase price of product.
Shipping: You may select Free Pick Up in Brisbane Store or we use Express Post and Fastway Couriers to ship our retail costumes and accessories. We ship the same day for items in stock where the order has been placed by 3pm Brisbane time. Express Post offers next day delivery to addresses within their Express Post network, including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart Area and Perth CBD. Standard Delivery by Fastway Couriers & Australia Post is available to 25 major metropolitan and regional centres and takes 2-4 days, with 7 day delivery to Perth.

The pages you visit will be logged by Google Analytics. This information though is of generic nature (like IP address ,location, etc) but we can not track it down to you as an individual.
If you use the search feature on our website, again this will only be analysed by Google Analytics and will not be tracked down to you. We do though use these search terms to ascertain what people are looking for at our site.
What information we collect from you
Once you use the enquiry form on the basket page, this information will be sent to us in an email. This email is stored only in our office PC and we do not use your submitted information for any other purpose than following-up on your current request. We will not use any of this information in any further activities (like email marketing, databases, etc) unless we seek your permission to do so.
Disguises will not disclose any information from you to any third party without your consent.
